A two vehicle accident has sent two children to the hospital after they were ejected from the vehicle they were riding in on Sunday morning.
The crash happened at 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road at approximately 11:00 a.m.
According to Maricopa County sheriff’s spokesman Joaquin Enriquez, one of the children, a 3-year-old, was still on the car seat when she was ejected through the van window. Investigators say that the 5-year-old child in the accident was also unrestrained.
The two children were rushed by paramedics to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Both drivers and other passengers involved in the accident refused medical treatment.
