Trooper Hurt in Crash

Motorcycle AccidentAn Arizona Department of Public Safety trooper was injured while responding to a deadly crash along the I-17 in Phoenix.

According to investigators, a motorcyclist died in a crash involving five cars along the southbound I-17. DPS investigators said that the motorcyclist was involved in a hit and run crash with a white four-door sedan in an incident that occurred around Greenway Road.. The motorcyclist was then involved in several other crashes along the route before he was killed near Bell Road.

 

The trooper responding to the call to the fatal accident on Bell Road was involved in a single vehicle crash in the northbound lanes of 1-17 near Thunderbird. The trooper is currently at a local hospital and listed in stable condition.
