Seven people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 43rd and Glendale Avenues on the west side of Phoenix on Wednesday night.
Reports from the scene say that four of the seven injured were children. Emergency crews transported two of the children to an area hospital – an 11-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy. Two others include a 41-year-old woman. The 11-year-old girl was listed in serious condition while the others in the crash were reported with minor injuries.
Investigators say that the two-vehicles crashed at the intersection. One of the vehicles, a red Nissan SUV, crashed into a tree near an unoccupied bus stop after the initial crash.
Police say that a driver had turned in front of the SUV at the intersection, causing the collision and the subsequent crash.
