Semi Driver Comes Forward in Hit and Run

redtruckThe driver of a semi-truck that was involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident that left one woman dead has come forward.

According to a spokesperson for the Phoenix Police department, the truck driver contacted authorities after having seen news coverage about the accident on local television.

The driver claims that he was unaware of the collision that took the life of bicyclist, Krystle Ann Klain, 33. The accident happened at the intersection of 43rd and Glendale avenues on Tuesday morning.

Investigators have examined the truck and evidence found does support that it had been involved in the accident. The evidence also supports the driver’s claim of having been unaware of the collision.

Authorities say that the truck driver, whose name has not been released, will not have to face any criminal charges in the incident.
