A man is now in critical condition after having been struck by a driver in a stolen vehicle. According to the Phoenix Police Department, the driver fled the after he hit a man who was crossing the street at the intersection of 12th Avenue and Hatcher Road.
Witnesses say that the driver stopped for a brief moment and then drove away. The driver, whose name has not yet been released by authorities was located and detained near 27th and Augusta Avenues.
Police investigators say that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the case.
