A rollover crash has left two people injured in Tempe on Thursday morning.

According to the Tempe Police Department investigators, the accident occurred on Mill Avenue Police between Baseline and Guadalupe roads in a residential area. Police investigators say that the single car accident happened while the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed through the neighborhood.

Both the driver and a passenger were taken to an area hospital to bet treated for injuries suffered in the accident. One person was thrown from the vehicle in the crash while the other had to be extricated from the vehicle by emergency crews.

Investigators are still piecing together what happened to cause the crash. Impairment may have played a role.
